Paid blogging
December 4, 2007 at 3:50pm | Category: Opinion | Comment?Where do you stand on paid blogging? Generally, there seems to be an all or nothing relationship with paid blogging. Either you love it or you loathe it. I happen to be in the former crowd. I find paid blogging to be a great way to pay the bills and have some play money coming in. However, I do understand some of the points the latter crowd makes: namely, it is a bit spammy.
But shouldn’t we be just a bit appreciative of the fact that advertisers are turning to actual bloggers to promote their products and services, rather than resorting to intrusive pop-up ads, email spam and links splashed every where you look? Granted, there will be links splashed in the “sponsored posts” on a paid blogger’s website, but at least those links will be included in a post that is written by an actual human being with their own thoughts and opinions, rather than a bot of sorts looking to get the word out any way it can.
