Tired and achy

My husband, his sisters and I went to Dorney Park yesterday. We had a blast. They have an awesome water park there, with several huge water slides, two wave pools, and two “runaway rivers”, where you float along in a tube. We left our house right around 8:45am, and after a stop for breakfast and a stop for a bathroom, we hit the park by 10:20 — twenty minutes after they opened.

Because the weather called for rain, with the chances being 60%-90%, the park was pretty empty. The water park had maybe a hundred or so people wandering around, if that. There were no lines for anything. By the time we made it over to the regular park in the afternoon, the sun came out and it was getting really hot, so everyone who was there migrated over to the water park. So once again: no lines, no crowds! I think the longest wait was for the Crazy Mouse – twenty minutes or so. Otherwise, almost every ride was instant on, or waiting for the people on the ride to be finished. It was awesome.

As we were leaving, we passed by the lost and found. The amount of sippy cups, coats, towels and kids’ toys were staggering. There was even a separate section for jewelery and mens wedding bands. I don’t understand how you could leave such precious jewelry behind!

Last night we crashed hard. We were home by 10:30pm, and all of us were in bed by 11:30pm. I slept straight through until 10am this morning. I feel tired and drippy, but definitely refreshed!
