It's nice to hear someone remembers Greymatter, I personally loved it and could customize it better than I can Wordpress today. Too bad..

My first blog platform was Greymatter, too! Dayum, those were the days. (Eventually, I moved on to Moveable Type and, what I currently use, Wordpress.)

I remember other people using it, but I never did. My first blog was run by b2. I always liked the way greymatter blogs looked, though. I was a complete n00b back then, I basically stripped the b2 template down to just text and then used iframes or something. Yuck!! haha.

Ah, the bittersweet memories, and how I miss it, but then again, since Wordpress, there's nothing better.

Want to hear something very sad? I actually ended up heavily modifying gm-library.cgi to change the colours of my Greymatter admin panel, because I hated the dull blue color scheme, in addition to adding my smileys in a more neater manner (inside of a scrolling div), and changing the size of the admin settings.

I don't miss how easy it was for users to "flood you", bloody insecure cgi scripts, that would eventually freeze and crash your server.

Kudos to the memories, and Wordpress.

Oh, I remember Greymatter. It used to be so cool to have. That was back when you had to have cgi access in order to blog, instead of MySQL.
