I know a lot of people use their laptops while they’re in bed, but I’m not one of them. For one thing, having two small children makes it rather difficult to go curl up in a bed in the middle of the day, unless I’m there for a pillow fight or for tickling or to watch Madagascar or Blue’s Clues.
And two, when I go to bed, it’s to go to sleep. I might read, or lounge for a bit with my husband, but typically I’m only in bed if I’m planning on enjoying some Zzzs in the near future.
But the other night I decided to enjoy the coziness of my bed and the convenient portability of a laptop. Let me tell you, it was quite heavenly.
I used the Belkin CushDesk and the Rubbermaid Laptop Stand together, which put my laptop at a very nice height. If I wasn’t so damn tired I’m sure I would have enjoyed the comfort a bit longer. It was great for work (looking up moving companies San Francisco and other moving companies for a writing project) and for play (blogging, of course!) and for shopping (personalized baby gifts).
So yeah, I’m now all about using my laptop in bed. It’s a dorky discovery, but I love it! It’ll definitely be a worthwhile treat at night, when the kids are in bed and I’m exhausted from being on the go with them all day long.
How do you typically use your laptop?

In your post you mention the rubbermaid stand, but the link you posted is listed as a rolodex.

I can’t seem to find a link to the Rubbermaid one, and I have seen the Rubbermaid and Rolodex ones used interchangeably. I’m assuming the same manufacturer is used for both brands!

I personally love using my laptop in bed/on the couch. Infact I’m doing so right now.
It’s comfy and it’s a nice way to relax and hang out. Plus it makes watching TV and movies much more enjoyable. :D
