I think I out-blogged myself last month. I pushed myself to blog at jenn.nu every single day in the month of July. I did it, on top of my normal writing assignments and updates for all of my other blogs. This month? I’m slacking big time. It’s not that I don’t have plenty to blog about… I just don’t know how to take my thoughts, opinions and ramblings of everyday things and translate them all into writing.
I recently opened a technology-oriented blog, Hey Tech Girl, in the hopes of giving myself something “exciting” to blog about. I love technology. I may not be an expert and I may not work in the field, but I certainly use enough technology throughout my everyday life, and I love tinkering with my computers, so why the heck not? Besides, it’s a popular category for blogs, which means I may be presented with some great opportunities as a result…
So, who is glad that it’s Friday? For those of you that work from home, do you observe the normal M-F work week? Or do you work whenever, regardless of the time of day or the day of the week? I’d love to do the former, and sometimes I do, but more often than not I work whenever it is convenient for me. It just makes more sense for me to work whenever there is a chance to. Passing up on an opportunity to get some work done, even if it’s on Friday night, Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning, is just irresponsible IMHO. After all, the kids clothes and groceries aren’t going to purchase themselves!
What do you do when you hit a blogging funk? Chug through it? Leave the blogging scene for a bit and then return?
